Brussels, 21 October 2025 –

Baltic Film & Creative Tech Cluster has joined CR.EU – Creativity Europe, a newly established European Metacluster for Cultural and Creative Industries. The initiative officially launched in Brussels, hosted at the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce, and brings together leading organizations from across Europe to foster collaboration and innovation in the cultural and creative sectors.

CR.EU unites organizations and stakeholders from ten European countries – Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Lithuania, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, and Hungary – representing a wide range of creative disciplines. The metacluster aims to strengthen dialogue between regional ecosystems and European institutions, acting as a bridge to identify sectoral needs, share best practices, and promote innovation, cohesion, and competitiveness.

“With CR.EU, we are contributing to a new European platform that empowers creative ecosystems to collaborate more effectively,” said Raffaele Vitulli, President of the Metacluster. “Culture and creativity are key drivers of innovation, sustainability, and social progress across Europe.”
“By joining this network, Baltic Film & Creative Tech Cluster will strengthen its connections with European partners, open new opportunities for international cooperation, and contribute to shaping innovation policy in the creative industries,” said representatives of the Cluster.

The first General Assembly of CR.EU took place in Brussels on 20–21 October 2025, gathering founding members to outline the metacluster’s strategic priorities, governance, and upcoming activities. Participants discussed how to better connect local and regional creative ecosystems to European-level initiatives and policies.

The network’s mission extends beyond collaboration – it seeks to promote innovation, sustainability, job creation, and internationalization, consolidating the role of cultural and creative industries as key contributors to Europe’s green and digital transformation.

Baltic Film & Creative Tech Cluster’s involvement in CR.EU reflects its ongoing commitment to strengthening the creative ecosystem in the Baltic region, building international partnerships, and supporting projects that bridge creativity, technology, and innovation.
