The National Film School of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (KIMO) announces registration for brand new film set courses – a unique opportunity with no alternatives in Lithuania. “CREW CALL: Film Set Courses” is an exceptional project designed to foster and expand professionalism within the Lithuanian film industry. The courses are intended for anyone wishing to start a career in the film industry (production) or to upgrade their qualifications in the field of audiovisual projects. The first courses will begin on April 5!

Participants will have the chance to learn from experienced film professionals and gain hands-on experience by participating in real audiovisual projects. At KIMO’s film pavilions and on actual project sets, students will not only deepen their theoretical knowledge but also acquire valuable practical skills. The training is carried out in collaboration with the project’s partner, the Baltic Film & Creative Tech Cluster, which unites more than 120 audiovisual industry organizations. This partnership ensures high-quality training, helps participants secure internships, and provides opportunities to build important professional connections.

The “CREW CALL: Film Set Courses” stand out for their unique concept – combining theoretical knowledge with intensive practice to give graduates the best possible opportunities to establish themselves in the job market. Industry professionals will share their expertise and provide clear guidance on how to successfully network, start a career in the film industry, or enhance professional qualifications by applying new skills.

Currently, registration is open for the following specialized course:

  • Production Assistant Course – April 5–6 and 12–13

    Course leader: Lukas Kudapčenka

The project was born out of the great demand in the industry and people’s interest. For a long time now, both Lithuanian and international film production companies have been actively working in Vilnius, and they need professionals in various areas of filmmaking. Industry colleagues have repeatedly approached the LMTA National Film School in search of different film set professionals, who are in very short supply in Lithuania’s rapidly growing film industry. We thought that the National Film School should and could be the institution that opens the doors to film sets. That’s how the ‘CREW CALL’ Film Set Courses project was created. We hope that in this way we will contribute to the growth and development of the film industry,” says director Vytautas Dambrauskas, Head of the LMTA National Film School (KIMO).
